About me

     Welcome to Thai Translate and Interpret. My name is Totsaporn Paiyakarn, but please call me Tae (เท่). I am thrilled to introduce myself and my services.

     I grew up in Ubon Ratchathani, a beautiful province in the northeast of Thailand, surrounded by rice paddies, waterfalls, and stunning temples. From a young age, I was fascinated by language and communication. I was always eager to learn new words and expressions, and I loved to read books and watch movies in English.

     After finishing high school, I decided to pursue my passion for languages and enrolled in the English Department at Khon Kaen University. During my studies, I took courses in phonetics, syntax, sociolinguistics, and translation, and I was particularly drawn to the field of translation and interpretation. I found it fascinating to convey meaning between languages and cultures, and I enjoyed the challenge of finding the best equivalent for every word, phrase, and sentence.

     In addition to my academic studies, I also took part in various extracurricular activities that helped me improve my language skills and cultural awareness. I joined the Debate Club, where I had the opportunity to practice my speaking and listening skills with native speakers and fellow learners. I was also an English tutor for local children who wanted to learn English as a foreign language, which was a rewarding experience that taught me how to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging way.

     After graduating from university with a bachelor's degree in English, I decided to pursue a career in the language industry. I've been working as a freelance Thai-English translator and interpreter in Thailand while building my translation networks locally and abroad. In 2019, I relocated to Ireland to work as a language analyst at a multinational company that specializes in machine learning and natural language processing. In this role, I used my knowledge of linguistics to train machine learning models to recognize and generate text in Thai and English. I also provided linguistic feedback and quality assurance for the company's products and services.

     As a professional Thai-English translator and interpreter, I am committed to providing high-quality and accurate language services to my clients. I understand that language is a powerful tool for communication, and that mistranslations or misunderstandings can result in serious consequences. That's why I always strive to deliver translations and interpretations that capture the nuances and subtleties of the source language while conveying the intended meaning in the target language.
